HIMCR #65 Freestyle

Happy Saturday Everyone!!
I went with a friend last night to scrapbook and had so much fun!!  I worked on my kids albums for a change.  It was so nice to get pages done for them.  I'm working on my goal for this year to stay caught up on their albums.  I hope to start packing up my craft room tonight and tomorrow.  It's going to take me some time but I want to get it done so we can start painting.  I bought my paint on Monday and have an idea for a desk that I want!  I can't wait to post pictures and share my craft room when it's all done!

This week challenge at HIMCR is Freestyle!  I made a Composition Notebook for my DT Sister AJ!  I used her favorite colors and used my new Crafty Girl stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs.
 Front

Inside cover with a little envelope pocket
Back inside cover with a 2 pocket folder with polka dots :)

Folder open so you can see the pockets
Back cover
I used my Creative Memories Custom Cutting System to cut out the shapes.  The pocket and folder inside the notebook was cut on my silhouette.

Be sure to stop check out what the rest of the Design Team made for this week.

Happy Anniversary Card

Today is our anniversary!!  I can't believe it has been 13 years already!  As I told the kids the other night that most of those 13 years Daddy was gone alot of the time since he was out to sea alot.  It's so nice to have him home now on our anniversary and not have to worry about duty days or
sea time anymore!
I wanted to share with you the card I made to give to my husband tonight.  I love how it turned out and it was so simple to make :)  I used my new die from  My Creative Time!

I wasn't sure which picture I wanted to use for the card so I printed off some extra ones.  So I decided to give this a try and make a wall hanger with the rest of the pictures to hang up by my desk.  I saw this idea on the Blog Hop for the release of the die back in August!

Halloween Basket made with Creative Memories Punches

I'm so excited to post my Halloween Basket I made yesterday!!  It was so easy to make I found the directions on how to make this basket from another Creative Memories consultant Becky Omel.  I used Border Maker System from Creative Memories with the new Rustic Fence Cartridge and Pumpkin Chain Cartridge and my favorite punch of all the CM Tag Maker.  I used an older punch that we used to sell to punch out the cat, ghost and spider.

If you have any questions let me know!

HIMCR #63 - Technique

Hello Friends!

I hope everyone had a great week!  My week was busy and good for the most part.  My laptop crashed on Wed. but I have my new hard drive ordered so it will be here in a few days.

This week at HIMCR it is Technique:  Distressing or Antiquing!  Or both!  I decide to make a wall hanging for my husband to hang up by his desk once we redo our computer/craft room.

I bought a 12x12 piece of wood at Michael's and put 2 coats of Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint Black spot.  I cut out a treasure map and put a coat of TH Distress Stain vintage photo on and fold it up again and again and rubbed some black ink on it.  On the picture I added a coat of TH Distress crackle paint clear rock candy to it and over the red paint I put on the wood behind the treasure map.  One more layer of crackle paint on the title and this time I used picket fence and after it dried I added Distress Stain Peeled paint.  Added 2 pirate coins we had left over from my daughter's birthday party a few months ago.
I think that covers all the steps but if you have any questions just let me know.
Thanks!
Be sure to stop and check out what my DT sister have made also.

I had so much fun using my Fresh Brewed Happy Fall Girl Digi to make my easel card  for the September Facebook Challenge.

I used my silhouette to cut out my card and used my scrap paper.  Then I found my water color pencils that I hadn't used in forever.

Backpack and Lunch box tags

This year we decide not to do character backpack and lunch boxes for the kids. Since they don't really hold up well so I talk them into get these cool backpacks from Costco and we found lunch boxes almost to match. I had thought aobut getting their names put on them and then I just put it off too long. So I decide to make them name tags. Well I was going to make them like their soccer bag tags but I just ran out of time. So Storybook Creator it was and Costco saved the day!! I made a 4x6 file and divided it off to 4x2.75 amd let the kids help pick out the paper packs we used for them.

Gift for my DT Sister

On Wed. was my DT Sister AJ's Birthday so for her birthday I wanted to make her something special for her craftroom.  I found this cute franme and little desk organizer at Wal-Mart and thought it would be cute to paint them for in her.  Then I added the door hanager to the gift.  I used my Silhouette to decorate the door hanger.  I know how much AJ like owls so I found this cute Owl card to make here on the Silhouette.

My daughter wanted to paint a birdhouse to give AJ for her birthday!  It turned out so cute.

Together Faith and Hunter made these little cute little flower pot decorations the other day for AJ too as part of their craft wars they wanted to do.

HIMCR #61 Color Challenge

Good Morning!  This week the kids and I have been enjoy our last week off before school starts.
We ran errands, took one of my furry babies to the vet for his check up and shots, and painted a bathroom.  It's not finished yet but all I need to do is some touching up and hang my pictures on the wall and cut out some vinyl cuts for the wall.  When I was almost done painting I realized that my bathroom colors go with the challenge this week!  No it was not planned I picked these colors out back in November.  Here is a picture of what the bathroom looks like so far.  I will posted another when it's all done in the next few weeks.

Now for the challenge this week.  It's a color challenge!!  The colors are Garden Green,
More Mustard, and Cajun Craze.  I went with something fall for my card this week.
It's just a simple little Thanksgiving card.
I used the Creative Memories tag maker for the tag and Creative Memories leaf punch.
I embossed with the pumpkin folder.

Be sure to stop and check out what my DT sister have made also.
