It seems like each month gets busy and I'm posting this at the last minute.  My daughter's teacher sent out an email this morning and we have 7 more weeks of school left.  I'm as excited as them to have some down time at home and not running as much but sad cause both of my kids have GREAT teachers this year.  We will miss them next year so much.

Ok now for my 2 Christmas cards for the challenge I enter at Mark's Finest Papers which is to make 2 cards a month for the year.

I was so excited to use my new things from My Creative Time that I got for my birthday with my Mark's Finest Paper Stamps!!

Green is good Blog Hop!

Green is good Blog Hop!

Something recycled, something repurposed, whether it’s a milk jug turned in to a scoop, or a tin can made in to a pencil holder. Maybe your kids planted some trees to help the environment, or maybe you did. There are tons of ways to get greener in everyday life. Today we are showing off our creations to celebrate Earth Day 2013. If you’re just starting here make sure to head over to the beginning at My Life in Arts’ n Crafts’. I hear she’s giving away some goodies!

The other day I bought a big can of spaghetti sauce and thought it would be cool to reuse the can but wasn't sure till the other day.  I decide to spray paint it to match my living room and I cute out our puppy name in brown vinyl.  I'm going to use this to keep her leash and baggies for when we go walking in on my bench at our front door.  I cut the saying, her name, paw prints, and dog bones on my Silhouette.

head on over to…..

Hostess for MFP Challenge 42

Welcome back to another fun week at Sketch With a Twist!  The week went by so fast!  The kids and I got our veggie seeds all planted which they are so excited about.  They love helping with our little garden.
Here is this weeks sketch!

Remember you can flip it or rotate the sketch to make it work for you card.
Twist for this week for your card you must use 2 different embossing either wet or dry!

Now it's time for some inspiration for the week.
I used the brand new set MFP Glad Glads Set for my card this week.  I used the Sizzix All Under texture plate to emboss my brown paper and Provo Polka Dots embossing folder for my peach paper.  I add some pretty purple ribbon to the bottom and some nice wooden buttons in the upper corner.  This card remind me of when I was a little girl my Grandma planted her Glads every year and we would help her pick some to take home with us.

We welcome back Karen Nofziger as our guest designer for the month of April.

Thanks

This week our school is celebrating our staff so the PTSA is having a lunch for everyone on Wednesday.  I signed up to make brownies and a thank you sign to go up in the staff lounge.  I was going to make a sign to match the theme of our lunch but changed my mind and went with this paper pack I bought last year at Michael's.
I cut out the banner on the Silhouette and the letter where cut out on my Cricut with the Creative Memories Travlers cartridge.   I made a few rossettes with the Tim Holtz die and stamp few images from a CTHM stamp set I got a few years back.

I'm very happy with the way it turned out and can't wait to hang it up this week!

Thank You Cards

One of the many things on my To Do List for Spring Break was to make Thank You cards.  So when I saw the challenge over at My Creative Time I went looking through my paper.  I found one that had 4 of the 6 colors in it.

Hello everyone! This is Cassandra and guess what?? It's my turn to host the "Designer Challenge". And of course, you know that I just HAD to make this a COLOR CHALLENGE!! The Colors of the Rainbow to be exact! All you have to do is make a project of your choice using 3 of the following 6 colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple. For a more difficult challenge - if you dare...use ALL 6 colors!!!
My Thank you card
My paper is from TLC and I used CTMH Holiday Red, Citrus Leaf, Dutch Blue, and Sunflower inks to stamp Thanks from MTC Thank You Hugs set.  I cut out the Curly Label from MTC and stamped Thank you for being you!  This stamp was also from the MTC Thank you Hugs Set.

Grateful

This is my last post for the day :)  I got lots done today and it's making me dread going back to work next week :(  I have enjoyed being home with the kids and getting things done.

I made this card to enter this week at Unity Stamp Blog for Friends with Flair Friday!  I just want it to be simply.  I stamp my sentiment on the card base and added a fancy border from the Creative Memories Border Maker System.  This is one of my favorite tools to use!!

 Challenges:

Aurra's New Treat Jar

I bought this jar a few weeks ago at Wal-Mart to decorate for our new sweet little girl!  I got some new cuts this week on the Silhouette store for puppies so it worked out perfect!!  I put her name on the top of the jar.  I also cut out an extra set for my Sister to make one for her new puppies.  Here are the pictures of our jar.

Challenges:

Card Holder and Note cards

We had a nice day at home before we went to the kids practices tonight.  I worked on some projects that I wanted to accomplish before Spring Break was over.  I just love love these little card holders and have been wanting to do one for awhile and was so happy to get the file at the Silhouette Store!!  I ended up getting all 4 of the different card holder files they have.

I decide to make my holder with matching note cards to have on my desk when I need a card handy.  I made them to go along with the challenge going on at My Creative Time!

Now for my Card Holder and Note cards!  I hope you like them as much as I do!!

I was able to use all 6 colors for the challenge on my card and holder.  I stamped the A from MCT Just Simply Live all over the front of the card in CTMH ink Petal, Sunflower, Holiday Red, Citrus Leaf, Dutch Blue, and Sunset.  Then I attached a piece of purple card stock and cut out the MCT Scallop & Stitched Circle and stamped an A from CTMH on the circle.  I also added some purple Baker's twine to it.
Then I decided that I would make this Card Holder that I found on the Silhouette store to store my cards in on my desk.  I was going to do the A randomly on the card holder but decide to use the arrow from the Just Simply Live.  I did the same with the card stock and the scallop & stitched circle on the holder.
I just love how it looks with all the rainbow colors!!

March Christmas Cards

I know it's April but I had a rough month in March so I was behind on my Christmas challenge that I have been doing over at Marks Finest Paper.  I think my March cards are worth the wait!!  I love them both.  I think the snowman one is my favorite of all the cards I have made this year for Christmas!

I cute out the center panel step card out on my silhouette and the banner too.   The Christmas paper was out of my scrap box.  I love love this little snowman stamp from MFP it's Know Gift 2012.
I used the Big City Stamp from MFP and added snow to the image to make it all ready for Christmas!  This was my first time using a snow marker!

Now I need to get busy and get my April cards done :)
Have a good day!!
