Happy Birthday

I'm so happy that today I was able to get a few cards made before the kids went to school and finished them up in between work today.  I made this little Happy Birthday card with a cute kitty face.  I made a couple of more for a little set that I can post on my Etsy shop.  I'm going to enter it over at MFP Speedy TV Simple Salutations Challenge.

Halloween Decorations for School

This is my second year making the Halloween Decorations for the office at my kid's school.  The office staff comes up with the theme and I do my best to make the decorations match.  This year they decided on Winnie the Pooh.  I used my Cricut cartridge book and my son's teacher document camera to make the characters bigger and traced them on butcher paper.  Everyone loved how the office turned out.  Now I have all of the characters laminated so I can use them again  in the future on the bulletin board I do in front of the office.

This is the bulletin board in front of the office that I did a few weeks ago.  This was from the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons Cartridge.

Halloween Treats for the teachers

I wanted to make a little treat for the kid's teachers, office staff and my co-workers but I was short on time so I found this cute little ghost to cut out on the Silhouette and added some yummy Candy Corn Taffy.  I can't wait to get some more of it next year.

I also work 3 days a week in the afternoon Kindergarten class helping them with their math and writing workshop.  So when I was getting ready to leave on Tuesday a few of them ask if I would be there to see them dressed up on Halloween.  So I decide to make them a little treat when I went in to see all my little friends.  I punched out tags with the Creative Memories Tag punch and stamp it with a cute little pumpkin and tied it to Fruity Peebles snack.

Halloween Cards and treats for Faith and Hunter

I surprised the kids on Halloween and left them little treats on their place mats when they came down for breakfast.  I got the Create a Critter 2 on Tuesday so I had to make a cute little card for them.  It was so fun to do at the last minute!

I found this cute little cute on my Silhouette and added a piece of Candy Corn taffy to it.

Have a great day!

3D Bookplate Box

A couple of month ago I started this purple 3D bookplate box for a me and the other day I got it out and decided this would work perfect for the stack of flash cards I have on my desk.  I let the kids pick out the color for their boxes.  So excited to see what they think in the morning and for us to use them this week when we work on homework.

HIMCR #70 Color Challenge

Happy Saturday!!  I'm so glad to get to sleep in this morning and not have much to do till this afternoon.  We have The Raingutter Regatta at Cub Scouts today.  We finished up their boats last night.  Sissy is so excited to get to race one this year also.

Now it's time to tell you about our challenge at HIMCR for the week.  It time for our color challenge and this month it is your 3 favorite colors and use a digi from Scrapbook Stamp Society.

I used Tulip by Kim L Pipkin Gwin and for my colors pink, black, green.  I used my water color pencil to color in my tulip and I love how it turned out.  Then I decide to make a bookmark that I found on the Silhouette shop and a pieces of ribbon from my scrap bag.

Now it's time to check out what the rest of the Design Team made and enter the challenge at HIMCR.

Hope you have a great weekend!!

Flowers made from K cups

I made this for a friend's birthday last week and ran out of time last week to post it.  She loves pink so I found this coffee cup at Old Navy and thought it would be perfect for my project.  I got the idea from a picture one of my friend post on Facebook a few months ago.  It was so easy to make.  I cut out different flowers on the cricut and some rosettes and embossed the flowers. Then used double side tape to attach them to the K cups and used the glue gun to attach the K cup to wooden sticks.

Hope you enjoyed my bouquet of flowers made from K cups!!
