The last of the gifts I made for end of year gifts

Here are the last of the end of year gifts the kids and I pasted out at school last week.

My friend helped me make these cute little Hand Sanitizer and Soap Jars.  I just love them!

Then I added a cute little tag from MCT Teeny Tag Greetings Stamp Set around the jars with some raffia.  I added Hello Kitty to one of them.  Our one secretary at school is crazy about Hello Kitty!!

This giant clothes pin goes along with the Hello Kitty hand sanitizer.

Next is 2 mugs that I made for the custodians.  One is a Seahawks fan and the other is a Miami Dolphins fan. I found the a picture online and traced it on the Silhouette and then etched them on the mugs.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Father's Day Gift

I just got a chance to post my Father's Day card for my husband.  I have been waiting for a long time to get this coffee die and stamp set from My Creative Time.  I knew it would make a great card for him.  I love how the Kraft and green look together.  I will be enter this card in the Designer Challenge at MCT for Masculine Theme.

This is the sign that I made for my Dad for Father's Day.  I love how it turned out and he was so happy to get it too.

End of the Year Staff Gifts

I'm back with a few more gifts I made for some of the staff members at my kids school.
This year our Secretary and Learning Specialist are both retiring.  They both are very special to us all.  So I wanted to make them something extra special.

The first gift I'm going to share with you is for our secretary.
I made a sign like this last year for the kids to give to Grandma and PawPaw.  She loved that one so why not a sign to put her Grand babies pictures on.

The next gift is for our Learning Specialist.  They will be spending their retirement camping!  I found a cut file on the Silhouette store for a camper card that looks like the camper they just bought.  So instead of making it into a card I just made the camper and added it to my sign.

Have a great day!

Good Moms

I'm so happy to share the sign that I just finished for myself.  I decide to make a sign for me!  I'm always making for everyone else that I never take time to make something nice for me.  I was on the Silhouette store the other day and saw this and had to have it!  It seems like this was so true the first 3 weeks of the month.  I was busy baking like crazy for the kids swim meet one weekend.  I got honey spilled all over the floor so it was sticky for sure.  The kitchen was a mess for sure and the laundry piles were really bad cause I got the flu bug in between it all.  But the kids were so Happy!!!  Ok well minus when Mom got sick and they had to take puppy out more and help Dad around the house!

Hello Crafty Friends

Hello to all my Crafty Friends!!
It's been awhile since I have posted but I have been crafting here and there.  It just has been very busy around my house between work, finishing up the yearbook for the kids school, and taking the kids to all their busy activities.

I thought since it's been awhile since I posted anything that I would post a few random things I made over the last few months.

My friend's birthday was back in February and she is a Big Seahawk fan.   So I saw this online and had to make it for her.
I made this baby afghan for a baby gift for my husband's supervision.  They just had a little girl!!
I love how soft this yarn was I used for the afghan!

I made this cute TGIF sign for the kids to send to Grandma for Mother's Day!

A few weeks ago the kids had a Home Swim Meet so us parents organized some raffle basket for the concession stand we had.  I was in charge of fixing the baskets!  I made some cute little tags for each basket.   One of the baskets was a homemade basket so I put some cards in it that I had made along with the TGIF sign too.  I had so much fun making the baskets up!!

Ok I hope now that school year is winding down and summer is on the way that I will have more time to craft and get things posted.

My New Facebook Page

This is my last post for the night but I had 2 things that I wanted to share with you before I headed off to bed.  The first is that I have created a Facebook Page to for my Blog.  Be sure to head over and like it at https://www.facebook.com/AngelaCraftySpot like my page.

The next item I wanted to share is gift that I made for the kids to give to Grandma and PawPaw on their trip out to visit  us over Thanksgiving.  I wanted to do something to include all of the Grandkids and since we are so far away a group picture was out of the question.  So I got everyone to send me pictures of all the the kids and I sized them to fit into
My Creative Time Just Simply Live Stamp Set Die.
I used the MCT Rosette Die, Flower Petal Die, lower case lowercase fun dies, and Stitched button dies also on the sign.  I was so happy that I finally found a crackle paint to look the way I wanted it too.  I have tried 2 other ones so the 3rd time was a charm :)
I love love this project and so happy that I made it!!

Welcome and Hello Fall

I had time this weekend to get alot of crafting done.  I also finished up some projects that I started but never took the time to put those finishing touches on them.

I visit made a cute little magnet that says Hello Fall and had so much fun making it that I painted a sigh I had in my paint bin.  Then decided to make a Welcome Fall sign.  I used some the new things that I have gotten over the last few months from My Creative Time.  I love using their dies and stamps!
Here is a picture of them both together!

Lost My Mate

My friend gave me this idea the other day after my daughter and I had a morning over lost socks.  Faith got out of the habit over the last few month of not wearing 2 socks with her broken leg  So she would bring a pair down wear one and stuff the other one well I have no clue where!   Well now she needs a pair to wear and she was down to a total of 3 pair not that they matched but that's in style :)  I went and bought her 9 new pair the other day and started my project!
I wanted to hang this in my laundry room but none one every see it so we decide to hang in the bathroom downstairs.  We have to walk through the bathroom to go in the laundry room.

I covered my clothes pins with washi tape and to hang the sign up I glue 2 of the tabs from soda cans to the back of it.

Looks like we have some missing socks to find at our house!

My Beautiful Tin!

Hello Everyone!
What a day it has been around my house but some how I just manged to finish up the tin that I was making to enter over at Unity Creative Color Contest.  I hope you love how it turned out as much as I do!  I'm going to store my distress stains in it.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the flowers and then add a layer of Glossy Accents and some stickles afterwards!  I had original made the tag white but decided it need some color so I used my Tim Holtz peeled paint distress stain to give it some color.  Then I made some flowers on my cricut and added some buttons in the center of them.  So glad I decide to use my MCT Stitched Doily die to cut my digi from Unity.
Here is a couple close up of the flowers.  I printed the digi out 3 times and color it pop it up.
 My pretty flowers :)
Have a great day!!

Frames

Good Morning!
I wanted to share a project my daughter and me worked on this week for her little twin friends!  I was so happy she was up for painting them and helping Mommy out in her craft room.  I added the pink polka dots for her.  Then we made a banner with the MCT Bulid a Banner Kit to put the girls name on.  It was such an easy project and was so much fun.
It was great to see Faith get to part of the party and have fun!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!!

Growing in Unity Designer Day #3

Welcome back for another day of Growing in Unity!
I love the project that I made for today to share.  I just took new pictures of my daughter and son a few weeks ago.  Then I saw these sentiments stamps on the Unity site and knew they would be perfect for a layout for this week.  After I got the stamps I changed my mind for what I wanted to make to show off the sentiments.  I still am going to use them on a layout with these pictures but I made one of these wall hanging for my sister's birthday.  Then I had to have one for my craft room too.
I added an up close picture of each of the coaster from the wall hanging.  I bought these coasters at Joann and I painted them with some brown paint.
Then I used  Love you sister,

Be sure to come back every day till Friday this week and leave a comment on my Unity post.  There will be 2 Iitty Bitty Stamp sets given to one lucky winner that comments.
Have a great day and see you back tomorrow!

Green is good Blog Hop!

Green is good Blog Hop!

Something recycled, something repurposed, whether it’s a milk jug turned in to a scoop, or a tin can made in to a pencil holder. Maybe your kids planted some trees to help the environment, or maybe you did. There are tons of ways to get greener in everyday life. Today we are showing off our creations to celebrate Earth Day 2013. If you’re just starting here make sure to head over to the beginning at My Life in Arts’ n Crafts’. I hear she’s giving away some goodies!

The other day I bought a big can of spaghetti sauce and thought it would be cool to reuse the can but wasn't sure till the other day.  I decide to spray paint it to match my living room and I cute out our puppy name in brown vinyl.  I'm going to use this to keep her leash and baggies for when we go walking in on my bench at our front door.  I cut the saying, her name, paw prints, and dog bones on my Silhouette.

head on over to…..

HIMCR #71 Super Scraps Saturday

Happy Saturday!!
I can't believe that we are already into November!!  Christmas is going to be here before we know it.  I haven't started my shopping yet or took our pictures to use on our Christmas cards.  I need to get busy on it.  I have ideas for presents for the kids but we haven't decide for sure.

This week it's Super Scraps Saturday at HIMCR.  I remember finding these little paper dolls I had cute out and made awhile ago.  I wanted to use them on a layout but could find any Thanksgiving pictures I had printed off to use.  So I decide to go with a wreath for the house.  I even made my pumpkin with scraps from my scrap box!!  Got my wreath on sale at Michaels and ribbon at the Dollar Tree.
Now it's time to head over to HIMCR and check out the rest of the Design Team's creations for the week and enter the challenge!!
Good luck and have a great weekend!!
