Simple Salutations Challenge for MFP Speedy TV

Good Morning Everyone!
Wow it has been a busy week so far but day is my last day of  work till after Thanksgiving.  The kids only have half days till after Thanksgiving so we can spend some extra time  together and get ready for Grandma and PawPaw to come visit.  They are so excited to see them!!  They have been counting down the days!!

I'm excited to show you my card that I created for Simple Salutations Challenge this week. I used the Snow Gifts stamp set for the sentiment.  I cut out the cute little cabin from the Camp out cartridge.  I thought it would be cute to put some pine trees and snow to make it look all wintery!  I used the Creative Memories border punch and add some white paint to look like snow.
Now it's time to head over to MFP Speedy TV to check out the challenge!!
Have a good day!!

HIMCR #71 Super Scraps Saturday

Happy Saturday!!
I can't believe that we are already into November!!  Christmas is going to be here before we know it.  I haven't started my shopping yet or took our pictures to use on our Christmas cards.  I need to get busy on it.  I have ideas for presents for the kids but we haven't decide for sure.

This week it's Super Scraps Saturday at HIMCR.  I remember finding these little paper dolls I had cute out and made awhile ago.  I wanted to use them on a layout but could find any Thanksgiving pictures I had printed off to use.  So I decide to go with a wreath for the house.  I even made my pumpkin with scraps from my scrap box!!  Got my wreath on sale at Michaels and ribbon at the Dollar Tree.
Now it's time to head over to HIMCR and check out the rest of the Design Team's creations for the week and enter the challenge!!
Good luck and have a great weekend!!

Flowers made from K cups

I made this for a friend's birthday last week and ran out of time last week to post it.  She loves pink so I found this coffee cup at Old Navy and thought it would be perfect for my project.  I got the idea from a picture one of my friend post on Facebook a few months ago.  It was so easy to make.  I cut out different flowers on the cricut and some rosettes and embossed the flowers. Then used double side tape to attach them to the K cups and used the glue gun to attach the K cup to wooden sticks.

Hope you enjoyed my bouquet of flowers made from K cups!!

HIMCR #63 - Technique

Hello Friends!

I hope everyone had a great week!  My week was busy and good for the most part.  My laptop crashed on Wed. but I have my new hard drive ordered so it will be here in a few days.

This week at HIMCR it is Technique:  Distressing or Antiquing!  Or both!  I decide to make a wall hanging for my husband to hang up by his desk once we redo our computer/craft room.

I bought a 12x12 piece of wood at Michael's and put 2 coats of Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint Black spot.  I cut out a treasure map and put a coat of TH Distress Stain vintage photo on and fold it up again and again and rubbed some black ink on it.  On the picture I added a coat of TH Distress crackle paint clear rock candy to it and over the red paint I put on the wood behind the treasure map.  One more layer of crackle paint on the title and this time I used picket fence and after it dried I added Distress Stain Peeled paint.  Added 2 pirate coins we had left over from my daughter's birthday party a few months ago.
I think that covers all the steps but if you have any questions just let me know.
Thanks!
Be sure to stop and check out what my DT sister have made also.

Grandma's Birthday Present

I made this a few weeks ago for my Grandma for her birthday. On Sunday we called to wish her a Happy Birthday and she was so happy to get her magnet of the kids and book album of our trip to visit her in December. I just took a scrap pieces of chipboard and papers I had and add these cute little pictures of the kids to make it.

Here is the front cover of the digital album I made for her.  It was so much fun to make and putthe pages in the album.  The kids loved looking at it and remember all the fun things they did on our trip to IL!!  I could have never made this album as fast and used as many pictures as I did without using
Storybook Creator.  I made 20 4x6 pages to put in the album.

Folders and Notebooks for School

My goal all week has been to get my daugher's folders and notebooks posted we made over the weekend.  It seems like everytime I have sat down at the computer this and got ready to start the kids had to have me at that moment.  So they are gone to bed now and I'm enjoy the peacefully house now that it is finally cooling down in the house.  It was in the 90's today so our house was very hot in my craft room tonight.

I let Faith pick out the paper and what she wanted on her notebooks and Mommy went to work then. She loves them and said she will have the coolest notebooks in 4th Grade thanks to her Crafty Mommy :)
Then she decide we need to decorate her folders with some vinyl.

Canvas for my Living Room

Hello Everyone!
I wanted to post pictures of the four canvas I recently painted and alter for my living room wall.  It took me forever to decide on what pictures I was going to use on them.  Months ago my friend bought me the big canvas and then I decide it would be cool to do one for each of  the kids.  Well then I found the one that I thought would look good below the main canvas.  So I thought that would be prefect for a canvas of my husband and me together.  Then I had to decide on the colors which I knew one was going to be purple for sure.  Purple is my favorite color!!!  Then we decide to go with brown for the others cause it matched the walls right now.  Then later I'm going to paint the walls a different color but it will still match the color I have picked out for the walls.

I'm so happy with my wall now!  Well even happy when the walls get painted!

I almost forgot to tell you about the family chipboard cut out I painted.  The original plan was to cut out Family in vinyl till my friend was at Hobby Lobby and found the chipboard.  I painted it and add some green polka dots on it and some pretty purple ribbon!

HIMCR #58 Super Scraps Saturday

I can't believe it's Saturday already.  This week has been so clam compared to the last few weeks.
I have just been catching up on things around the house and back into working out.  My DT Sister AJ and her cute little daughter Liana came over to craft on Wed.   Faith and Liana made little paper bags that I cut out for them on my silhouette.
This week at HIMCR it's Super Scraps Saturday!!  After last week of organize my scrap box it was so easy to find papers to work with.  In case your missed my post on my scrap box organizing that Faith and Mommy did I linked it for you.  I found this cool wave paper I had left from a journal I made a few summers ago.  So I looked through my cartridges and came up with this cute little turtle and remember I had thise cute summer stamp set to go with it.

Turtle is from Creative Memories Traveler Cartridge and the stamp set is from
We Are Memory Keepers.  Everything else is out of my scrap box.

Now it's time to check what my DT Sister made for the challenge!!

Pencil Boxes

Last week I had the chance to go to  Wal-Mart by myself while the kids were at camp so I  got their school supplies.  Today we checked to make sure they have everything on their list and they put them in their new backpacks.  They don't go back to school till after Labor Day but I wanted to have it all together cause our last 3 weekends before school starts my daughter has tournments.

We decide to decorate their pencils boxes with vinyl since I had it out working on a big order I had for my Etsy shop today.  They both help pick out what they wanted to go on their box.
Next we are going to decorate my daughter's notebooks and folders!

My Cricut Cartridges and My Gyspy

Today is the first day this week I have crafted.  I don't remember if I mention on my blog or not but a few weeks ago my Gypsy broke.  I have had it since they first came out so of coarse it's out of warranty.  But I contact Provo to see if there was anything that could be done to fix it.  The spot where you plug it up to your Cricut fell inside the gypsy.  Provo said no it wasn't fixable but I could buy a new Gypsy and send the old one to them and they would but the serial number on the new one.  But after go back and forth I have decide against getting another Gypsy when Craftroom is free to use.  So not thinking about it this weekend I went to link some of my cartridges to Craftroom and couldn't because they are all link to my broke Gyspy!!!  I was so furstrated cause I didn't think it would work but when I was on the phone with Provo but the guy said it would.

So now I'm really mad at this point cause I have 118 cartridges, 1 broken Gypsy and 2 Cricuts  and the best they coud do was give me some credit to my accout. I look at this picture seeing how much money I have given to Provo!!

I called Provo again on Monday!  The first lady I talk with lets me know there is nothng she can do to help me get my cartridges unlinked from my Gypsy unless I buy a new one and send them both in together.  But resured me that it's in the works to fix this problem.  I tell her that really doesn't do me any good when I try to use my Cricut with Craftroom and I have problems cutting if the file has more than one cartridges in it.  So at this point I told her that I wanted to talk with a manager.  I finally after 3 calls talked with a manger and she is helping me with the issue!!  I'm not getting a new Gypsy but should have all my cartridges connected to Craftroom soon!  So far I have one cartridge link to it now only becuase the Gypsy didn't have the CM Be Young one on it yet.  It's only been out sine May!

So today Faith and my DT Sister AJ  decided to lay all my carts out and count them for me.  I told them have fun cause I was too frustate to count them.  Since I spent all afternoon and a few hours in the evening on Monday finishing register them on Cricut.com.  So lesson learned from this register them when you get a new cartridge!!!  I used to be good at doing it but lately I wasn't so I had to go through all 118 and do the ones that were not!!

Soccer Bag Tags

The kids are so excited they got a backpack to put all their soccer gear in this weekend.  I wanted them to put their number on them so I saw something similar to these awhile ago on Pinetrest.  So I decide to try it out last night.  They loved them this morning!

I took old gift cards we had laying around the house and covered them with black card stock and mod pauge.  Then I cut out their number, soccer ball, white piece of cardstock  and mod pauge them on to the tag.   After the mod pauge dried I wrote their name and phone number on the back side of the tag.  Then I punched a hole and attached some fun cord we had on them.

HIMCR #57 Colors Challenge

The kids went to their last camp of the summer this week and started the last session of swim lesson still next summer.  They are going to take a break from swim lesson during the school year.  Today we have the last day of their camp and a BBQ afterwards.  I did mange to squeeze in a little bit of crafting and some cleaining in between taking the kids and their friends to camp.

This week at HIMCR is the Color Challenge.  Our colors are Sunset (orange), Crystal Blue (sea blue), and Olive (green).   I thought the colors would make a cute little purse card I saw the other day to cut out on the Silhouette.
My green and blue paper are from my scrap box.  I know the green is from DCVW but I'm not sure on the blue cards stock.  I could not find the right shade of orange.  So I cut out my flower from the Creative Memories Be Young Cartridge and it cut from white card stock and then I rub my CTHM Sunset ink pad over the flower.  I decided the blue cardstock need just a little something else.  I looked through my embossing folders and the Stylized Flowers one look like a great folder for this little purse.  Then I added some velcro to hold the flap down and little blue button to the flower.

The kids are so excited to send this to Grandma for her birthday!

Are We There Yet

I finally was able to have some free time this afternoon from run to finish up this layout.  I started it on Monday but I was gone so much this week.  I'm very happy with the way they turned out.  I used the Creative Memories Traveler Cartridge to create this layout along with the Page Planner from CM too.  After I cut out everything I remember that I had some Cheerful Power Palette open.
The color went together so well.

These are the 2 Templete layouts I used from the Page Planner Set.
They make creating a layout so easy!
