Thanks

This week our school is celebrating our staff so the PTSA is having a lunch for everyone on Wednesday.  I signed up to make brownies and a thank you sign to go up in the staff lounge.  I was going to make a sign to match the theme of our lunch but changed my mind and went with this paper pack I bought last year at Michael's.
I cut out the banner on the Silhouette and the letter where cut out on my Cricut with the Creative Memories Travlers cartridge.   I made a few rossettes with the Tim Holtz die and stamp few images from a CTHM stamp set I got a few years back.

I'm very happy with the way it turned out and can't wait to hang it up this week!

I hope everyone is having a good year so far!  Ours has been good so far.  It has been so nice being home the last 2 weeks.  I have gotten so much done that I have had on my To Do List.

This weeks challenge at HIMCR is Color Challenge.  This week colors are Black and White and 1 color.  I decide to go with turquoise we have a neighbor who is getting married in the spring so I made a card for them.  I love how the colors look together.

I used the Creative Memories Divine Wedding Cricut Cartridge to cut the cake out at 3.5" and the black and white paper was in my scrapbox.  I distressed the edges of the card, papers, cake and tag.  I also embossed with the Divine swirls folder.  That is one of my favorite folders!!

Now it's time to check out what the rest of the DT has created and check out the challenge at HIMCR.

Have a great day!!

HIMCR #77 Mix It Up!

Good Morning!
It has been a different week around here.  We got a little bit of snow Tuesday morning it didn't really stay around much.  I worked all night on trying to get the teachers gifts all ready to take to school the next day.  Then early Wednesday it started coming down and school was canceled and I got sick.  The kids had school on Thursday and it was my last day of work till next year.  I felt a little better so I went to work and passed out presents to the kid's teachers and my co workers.  After I got off work came home and felt horrible again so I spent the rest of Thursday and all day Friday on the couch.  The kids last day of school was supposed to be Friday and well because of all of the melting snow had turned to ice over night kids started Christmas break a day early.

Today is time to get busy and get my list done.  Oh is it so long after spending time rest the last few days.  Soccer game first thing and then the kids have a birthday party to go to. While they are at  the party I will start wrapping presents.  Then it will either be the house cleaning or grocery shopping.  Either one sound like much fun :(

Now it's time for HIMCR challenge this week it's Mix it Up Anything but Christmas!!  For my project this week I did the cover of my Stoybook that I'm starting for the kids of our trip last December to Illinois to visit my Grandma.  I used Storybook Creator 4.0 to create my cover.  I love how you can write on the spine of the cover too.  The kids are so excited for me to get them done so we can wait for the UPS man to deliver them to us.

Here is my cover for this week!
I'm using the Cheeful Digital Power Palette for my album.  I also add my first page for you to see!  Now I have to get busy and get it all done before the 30th since my Storybook credit
 expires on the 31st.
Now it's time to check out what the rest of the Design Team projects and enter the challenge at HIMCR!

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

Good Morning!  I have been busy this week working on Christmas gifts and getting my Christmas cards ready to mail.  By now I usually have them out in the mail but it's been a very busy lately.  I also did a fun art project this week in my son's classroom.  I teach an art project once a month for his teacher.  This month we made salt dough ornaments.  I made the ornaments up ahead of time and they painted them.  It was alot of fun and the kids are excited for me to bring back snowmen on Monday.

This week challenge at HIMCR is Go Digital and our
 sponsor is  Template Dreams.
They will be giving away a $5 gift certificate to their store.
I used Fall is in the Air and made a 2 page layout of our trip to Seattle last month when Grandma and PawPaw came to visit.  I used Creative Memories Click in Fill pages to create the layout and just added the digital paper and embellishments from the Fall is in the Air kit.
Now it's time to head over to  HIMCR and check out what the rest of the Design Team has for you and enter the challenge!

This week challenge at HIMCR is Super Scraps Saturday!  I made a simple cute little tag.

I used my CM Tag Maker and used the CM Zigzag Diamod Border Maker. The stamps I used on my tag are from CM Nordic Christmas Stamp Set.

HIMCR #73 Mix It Up

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving!  We had the best one ever!!   We were all so excited to have Grandma and PawPaw here to celebrate with us.  We stayed home and Grandma and me cooked dinner.  The kids helped make a pumpkin pie.  It has been a great week but sad for us today here cause we will be taking them back to the airport.  I so wish they lived closer to us.

This week at HIMCR the challenge is Mix It Up and it is Christmas theme.  I decide to go ahead and make my Christmas card for this year.  Last year was the first year in awhile that I didn't make a digital card with our family pictures on them.  I loved the cards I made but decide from now on it would be digital!  Here is the card I created with Storybook Creator 4.0
This is one of my favorite Christmas kits.  It was from last year and it is called Holidazzle!

If you haven't ever tried digital scrapbooking and have any questions let me know.  The Creative Memories program is so easy to use!

Halloween Decorations for School

This is my second year making the Halloween Decorations for the office at my kid's school.  The office staff comes up with the theme and I do my best to make the decorations match.  This year they decided on Winnie the Pooh.  I used my Cricut cartridge book and my son's teacher document camera to make the characters bigger and traced them on butcher paper.  Everyone loved how the office turned out.  Now I have all of the characters laminated so I can use them again  in the future on the bulletin board I do in front of the office.

This is the bulletin board in front of the office that I did a few weeks ago.  This was from the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons Cartridge.

Halloween Treats for the teachers

I wanted to make a little treat for the kid's teachers, office staff and my co-workers but I was short on time so I found this cute little ghost to cut out on the Silhouette and added some yummy Candy Corn Taffy.  I can't wait to get some more of it next year.

I also work 3 days a week in the afternoon Kindergarten class helping them with their math and writing workshop.  So when I was getting ready to leave on Tuesday a few of them ask if I would be there to see them dressed up on Halloween.  So I decide to make them a little treat when I went in to see all my little friends.  I punched out tags with the Creative Memories Tag punch and stamp it with a cute little pumpkin and tied it to Fruity Peebles snack.

Happy Holidays

Good Morning!
I have had this on my to do list for weeks but keeping running out of time to color my digi.  I got it finished Saturday night!!  I wanted to take my picture outside but every time I got ready to go outside to take it yesterday it would start to rain.  So I gave up and went for the light box this morning.  I love coloring Heather's Digi from Fresh Brewed!!  This is her newest Christmas house.  I hope you like it as much as I do!
I used my Creative Memories Cutting System to cut the digi and background paper out in circles.  Added some clear glitter on the roof and ground.

HIMCR #67 Super Scraps Saturday

Birthday Gift

Good Morning!
I wanted to share with you the gift that I made for my friend's birthday yesterday.  She is such a great friend!!  We meet when my daughter and her son went to preschool together.
I can't believe they are now in 4th grade!

So while I was unpacking some of my scrapbooking supplies the other night I had an idea pop in my head.  I found some old CD's  and some cool paper that I forgot about having.    I used my Creative Memories Custom Cutting System to cut circles out of my pattern paper to glue to the CD's.  Then I cut out Family form the Country Life Cartridge and the flowers from CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge to go on the front.  After I had put my cricut things away I decide I need some leaves for the flowers.   So I decide to see what it would look like to use my CM Paisley Punch to make leaves. Then I just cut out some little photo mats and embossed them for the inside and tag. These little albums are so fun to make and you are recycling too!!

Then to go along with the album I found this big clothes pin at Michael's on Monday and didn't really like the print on it.  So I thought well I can cover this to match the album and make it nice.  I used the scraps from the front of the album to cover it.  Then I cut out 2 flowers from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge and some more Paisley for leaves and some ribbon!
I will be posting the card I made to go with her gift on Monday and teaching how I made it for my Guest Design Team project for Crafter's Companion.  I hope that you stop back by to see it!!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest project!

My Friend

I'm so proud of myself 2 cards made today and posted the same day!!  I made this card to give to my friend AJ along with some yummy cake pops.  She going  away for awhile so I wanted her to know how much I will miss her.

I'm going to enter this in MFP Sketch with a Twist challenge.   I used My Creative Time die from Just Simply Live set.  The leaves stamps are from a set that I found today and rubbed new chalking inks from Creative memories over the leaves and the edges of the die and card.  It looks like I embossed them but it was how the paper is made.

Now I'm off to do some more unpacking in my craftroom!

Friends

I decided to take a break from unpacking my craft room today and make some cards.  I found this Friends stamp I got a few months ago and used my Tim Holtz Distress Stain.

I used the peeled paint distress stain right on the card and then stamp over it with Weather Backgrounds from CMTH.  I used my Creative Memories Paper Edger to go around the edge of my paper.  The top one was stamped with the friends stamp and rubbed vintage photo distress stain over it.  The other piece I rubbed both the peeled paint and vintage photo over the craft cardstock.  I used die from My Creative Time and stamp for the Best Friends.   I'm so happy with the way my card turned out.  I'm going to enter it over at MFP Speedy TV.
