It's been awhile since I have posted on here.  I have been busy and not crafting as much as I would like too.  I'm very excited to be apart of the Unity Blog Hop!
I had alot of fun crafting with Winter Wishes Stamp Set.

I love how my paper went great with the stamp set.  I was disappointed that it was rainy out and I couldn't get a picture outside.  I hope to get a better one later and replace it.

Don't forgot to stop by and leave a comment for everyone on the hop!!  One lucky will win a Stamp of the Week.  Good luck!!

Here is a complete list of the hop in case you are just starting.

Growing in Unity Winner

Good Afternoon!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  We did for sure!!  We left on Friday morning for a mini vacations it was just for the weekend but just what we needed.  The kids have been begging us for the last couple of years to go back to Great Wolf Lodge.  It always so much fun and now the kids are both big enough to go on all the slides and have fun together.  Here are just a few of our picture from our trip!!!

A few of you left some questions on my blog last week on my creations I made so I thought it would be easier to answer them on this post.

The Polaroid die that I used for my card on Tuesday is from My Creative Time is Stitched Capture Frame with Arrow Dies.

My project from Wednesday had a couple of questions.    I used Project Life Layouts to get the separate pages on the same page.  There are many more styles of layouts this was just the one that I thought worked best for my pictures and the stamp sets I wanted to use.  As for the pennants on the background of the papers I just stamped them randomly with Stampin Up Smokey Slate Ink.

I hope that answers everyone questions if you have any more just let me know :)
I wanted to thank you all for coming to visit my blog each day last week to see my newest creations!
It was so much fun for me to be your Unity girl.   But before I share the winner of last week I had one more card to share with you.  One day when I was shopping on Unity I found this adorable set on sale and could live without it.  I have already scrapbook the kids baby stuff but it would be great to have and make up some cards when you find out someone is pregnant!

Our winner for last week's comments is KT Fit Kitty!!
Please me at chewiescrappin@hotmail.com with your information and I will forward it to Unity.
Have a great day!!

Growing in Unity Day 3

Welcome back friends to another day of Growing in Unity!
I have something very exciting to show you today.  I just started Project Life albums for the kids and I used 3 different stamp sets for today project to share with you.  Here are the sets I used first and then I will show you my layout.

 Now for my layout!!

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to take pictures of my layouts but I did some a few up close pictures for you too.  I took the banners from the encircled happy birthday and best kid ever to stamp the background paper with grey ink.  I used the Happy Birthday circle and then picked to of the washi tapes stamps to look like I tape the pictures down on the layout.  I just love how the colors and stamp sets worked out so good for this special day for my Little Man!!

I also have one more creation for you today.  As soon as I saw this stamp set I had to have it!!  The kids are crazy about pickles so it was a must have for us.
My fun little card!!

Project Life Layouts

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
We are we had a slight change of plans so I have been crafting instead. I made these Project Life  Layouts last weekend but took me awhile to get a good picture of them. I still need some practice but these picture turned out pretty good.

I bought the pages last summer a few weeks before my daughter broke her leg and then well I never got to them.  Then back before Christmas I made one layout but got busy and didn't pick it back up.  Since the kids birthday was in May I decide that there new scrapbook for this year would be the Project  Life.  I'm happy with the way my daughter book is going so far.  I'm working on my son's this weekend.  So more picture to come later.

Here are a few of the layouts!!

The paper I used was that I got along time ago from TLC and then for the embellishments and journal tags I used my dies and stamps from My Creative Time!   I just love how MCT time dies and stamps work so well for Project  Life Layouts.

This layout I used my stamps from Marks Finest Papers..

Hope you enjoyed my layouts and I will have more to come!!

I am truly sorry for your loss!

Wow it was hot here today!!
I wanted to craft so bad but it was too hot to turn lights on so I made my cute little card in the dark.  A few weeks ago my friend's daughter had to have their doggie put to sleep.
I just love how MCT Loyal Friends and Live Love Bark sets worked great for my cute little card.  I used the MCT 4x6 Stitched die for the card base and just folded in in half.

I will be entering my card in the MCT Designer Challenge Patriotic Theme.
Here is the sketch and colors for the challenge.

The last of the gifts I made for end of year gifts

Here are the last of the end of year gifts the kids and I pasted out at school last week.

My friend helped me make these cute little Hand Sanitizer and Soap Jars.  I just love them!

Then I added a cute little tag from MCT Teeny Tag Greetings Stamp Set around the jars with some raffia.  I added Hello Kitty to one of them.  Our one secretary at school is crazy about Hello Kitty!!

This giant clothes pin goes along with the Hello Kitty hand sanitizer.

Next is 2 mugs that I made for the custodians.  One is a Seahawks fan and the other is a Miami Dolphins fan. I found the a picture online and traced it on the Silhouette and then etched them on the mugs.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

A Creative Blog Tour

Good Morning!

I'm very excited to let you know that I have been ask by An'Jenic at AJ Scrapbooking & Cards invited me to be a part of a blog hop tour.  Along the tour it will show work from different crafter from around the world.

Next I have a few questions I was ask to answer for the tour.

1. What am I working on?

I'm currently working on my daughter and son's scrapbooks.  It's the time of the year for me to start their new albums.  Last month my daughter turned 11 and son just turned 9.  Since my son  turned one this has been my tradition.  I'm in the process of sorting pictures to print out from the last month.   I have decide to change it up a little bit this year and do Project for Life this year.  Be sure to check back soon to see some of my new layouts to come :)

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?

When I'm working on cards I would say mine differs cause I almost always distress the edges of the cards with ink.  There is just something about distressing that I just love.  Then when it comes to scrapbooking I'm not much for just one pictures on a layout.  I love lots of pictures and lately I have got away from using too much embellishments but still need some.
Here are a few of the cards I have made lately that I haven't got posted yet.

I wish that I had some new layouts to post but I promise those are to come over the next few weeks.

These cards are ones I gave to the kids teachers and staff for end of the year.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

The first time I was introduced to scrapbooking was right after we got married so almost 15 years ago.  A friend that I worked with scrapbook and she talked about it all the time. Jason was at sea so on the weekends I would go over to her house and work on my new album.  It was alot of fun cause her Mom and daughter would  be there too working on their albums.  I got a little done in my first album but I was not that great well in my eyes.  I didn't really stick to it cause I thought well we don't have kids so I really don't have anything to scrapbook.  Well was I wrong!  I have a box for of pictures that I wish that I had stuck with it.  So I made cards in between from that time till I really became addict to it scrapbooking.  My addiction started after my son was born.  I started a family album and got small albums and made a page for each month in those albums.  These small albums were Christmas gifts for our family in IL.  Soon after that I got  albums for the kids and went crazy from there.  A couple of years later I got my Cricut and then I started getting in to alter items.

 4. How does your writing/creating process work?

I scrapbook when I have spare time which lately doesn't happen with our busy schedule.  I hoping that since we are on summer break I will get a chance to do some layouts.  As for cards and gifts I make them when someone special has a birthday or holiday coming up.  I love making gifts for my family and friends.  It is so nice to see the happiness on their face when they open up their gifts.

Now that you have learned a little about me and how I like to craft it's time to go on the blog tour.
