Heaven’s Sweet Babies Hop April 30th

Hello My Crafty Friends,
Today we are honoring Jessica our HIMCR sister and her sweet little angles.
We would also like you to hop
to support all women who have had a Miscarriage. I hope that you would hop along with me to honor these women and their sweet angles. You may know a mom, friend or you may have had a Miscarriage.
Here are some facts about Miscarriage & a link for American Pregnancy Association for more information.
---->Miscarriage is the most common type of pregnancy loss, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). Studies reveal that anywhere from 10-25% of all clinically recognized pregnancies will end in miscarriage. Chemical pregnancies may account for 50-75% of all miscarriages. This occurs when a pregnancy is lost shortly after implantation, resulting in bleeding that occurs around the time of her expected period. The woman may not realize that she conceived when she experiences a chemical pregnancy.
---->Most miscarriages occur during the first 13 weeks of pregnancy. Pregnancy can be such an exciting time, but with the great number of recognized miscarriages that occur, it is beneficial to be informed about miscarriage, in the unfortunate event that you find yourself or someone you know faced with one.

What Makes A Mother
I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today
I asked, "What makes a Mother?"
And I know I heard him say
A Mother has a baby
This we know is true
But, God, can you be a mother
When your baby's not with you?

Yes, you can he replied
With confidence in his voice
I give many women babies
When they leave it is not their choice
Some I send for a lifetime
And others for the day
And some I send to feel your womb
But there's no need to stay.
I just don't understand this God
I want my baby here
He took a breath
and cleared his throat
And then I saw a tear
I wish I could show you
What your child is doing Here
If you could see your child smile
With other children and say
"We go to earth to learn our lessons
of love and life and fear,
but My mommy loved me so much
I got to come straight here!"
I feel so lucky to have a Mom who
had so much love for me
I learned my lessons very quickly
My Mommy set me free.
I miss my Mommy oh so much
But I visit her each day
When she goes to sleep
On her pillow is where I lay
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek
And whisper in her ear
"Mommy, Please don't be sad today
I'm your baby and I am here"
So you see my dear sweet one
Your children are okay
Your babies are here in My home
And this is where they'll stay
They'll wait for you with Me
Until your lessons there are through
And on the day that you come home
they'll be at the gates waiting for you
So now you see
What makes a Mother
It's the feeling in your heart
It's the love you had so much of
Right from the very start

#44 Mix It Up-Mother's Day theme

I can't believe it's Saturday!  This has been a busy week for us.  I did manage get some scrapbooking time in between everything that was going on.

This week challenge at HIMCR is Mix It Up!  It's a Mother's Day Themed Project.  I decide to decorate a canvas that my husband bought me at Ross a few months ago.  I thought it would be a nice Mother's Day gift and I had so much fun with all these pretty flowers last week that I made some more.  My canvas is all ready for a picture.  I just can't decide on a picture yet.

I used an 8x10 Canvas and painted it purple.
Cut out Love from Storybook cartridge in Brown
cardstock from my scrapbook.
Used Purple Core'dinations paper to make a mat for 5x7 picture and emboss it with a Lovely flourish texture plate
I cut 10 different flowers our of white cardstock from
CTMH art philosophy cartridge and stamped and ink them with purple and brown.  I also cut out 3 leaves out from this cartridge too.

Digital Scrapbook Layouts

I have gotten so behind over the last few years on my kids albums.  I have decide this year I'm going to work real hard on getting caught up.  I have been working on doing some of their pages with Storybook Creator Plus.  I still mix it traditon pages in between.  I love doing both but trust me 4 years ago I never thought I would have done a page digital well that was before I discover Creative Memories Digital software.  It is the best scrapbooking program out there.  I have tried others programs but don't like  having to be  restricted to using the internet to scrapbook.  Storybook only needs to be online to download new content or upload your books or project to me sent off to be printed.  If you would like to know more about Storybok Creator Plus just let me know.

Project 365

I posted a few of these pages awhile ago and then I got behind working on the yearbook.  So this project was put a side for awhile.  I'm working on getting caught up on my project now.  I have  5 weeks done now.  I'm so excited about this project.  I think it be so much fun to look back at it the end of this year.  Hope you enjoying and more will be coming.  I did all these pages with Creative Memories Storybook Creator.  I never thought that I would love to digital scrapbook but I do!

#43 HIMCR April Showers bring. . . . .

Good Morning!  I have found a new time to scrapbook now.  My husband started his new job this week so I have been getting up early with him.  So I thought why not just stay up and craft while it's quiet.

I had so much fun working on the challenge this week!!  This week is April Showers bring........

Homemade flowers!! You can make your flowers with punches, cutting out stamped images, with die cuts from dies or a cutting machine. Use your imagination! I can't wait to see all the beautiful flowers you all create!

I was going to make a card and then thought why not make a frame!!  I will be hanging this over my desk once I paint and redecorate my craft room!!

I used a frame from Michaels and painted it purple.  I wanted a darker shade but it worked out good cause I hope to paint my walls a dark purple.
I cut out Family from Home Accents (family is cut at 1.25")
I cut all the flowers  and leaves from CTMH Art Philosophy
All the papers came from my scrap box.

The Design team has some Great creations also so be sure to check them out!

Be sure to check out the challege at Hiding In My Craftroom!

Thank you gifts

This is my 3rd year designing the yearbook for my kids school.  It's a huge project that is alot of fun but has it's moments when it can be stressful.  I would have never got it done this  without the help of the librarian and library cleark. They collected pictures for me which made my job so much easier.  So as a thank you for all their help I made these cute little gifts to give them.

Later I will post the gift I made for my other helper.  I could have never made it 3 years without her help!!  She handles all the orders and supports with whatever help I need taking pictures, checking the pages, and listen to me vent when I get stressed!!

School Bulletin Board

I have made lots of projects over the last few weeks but have just been so busy that I could get them posted.  So over the next few days my goal is to get them posted.  I had to share the bulletin board I made my kids school first.  I love how it turned out and it was so fun making it!  The best part was when I took it to school my son's class came up and was telling me who each one of the kids looked like in their class.

#42 Hiding in My Craft Room Super Scraps SaturdayChallenge

It's been a busy week around here for me.  I have been getting ready for a Vendor Fair I'm doing today.  I have all my Creative Memories all pack up and ready to go!

I love Super Scraps Saturday because I have so many scraps that now I have 2 boxes so it's time to go through it but I have been just to busy for that project.  Maybe in a few weeks I will get to it.  I made a cute little card for Mother's Day out of my scraps and it has a pocket inside to hold a gift card.

Flower paper and striped paper are ones that I bought Michaels a few years ago but not sure what company they are from.
The stamps I used are from the Studio G a Mother's Day set from JoAnn's a few years ago.
Ribbon was from my scraps too.
Thanks to everyone who checks out my creation for the week!! Remeber to check out all the Design Team creations:

Then head over to HIMCR to enter the challenge!! http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com/
Have a great Saturday!!
