Growing In Unity Blog Hop

Good Morning!

It's been awhile since I have posted on here.  I have been busy and not crafting as much as I would like too.  I'm very excited to be apart of the Unity Blog Hop!   

I had alot of fun crafting with Winter Wishes Stamp Set. 

 

I love how my paper went great with the stamp set.  I was disappointed that it was rainy out and I couldn't get a picture outside.  I hope to get a better one later and replace it.

Growing in Unity Winner

Good Afternoon!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  We did for sure!!  We left on Friday morning for a mini vacations it was just for the weekend but just what we needed.  The kids have been begging us for the last couple of years to go back to Great Wolf Lodge.  It always so much fun and now the kids are both big enough to go on all the slides and have fun together.  Here are just a few of our picture from our trip!!!

A few of you left some questions on my blog last week on my creations I made so I thought it would be easier to answer them on this post. 

The Polaroid die that I used for my card on Tuesday is from My Creative Time is Stitched Capture Frame with Arrow Dies.

My project from Wednesday had a couple of questions.    I used Project Life Layouts to get the separate pages on the same page.  There are many more styles of layouts this was just the one that I thought worked best for my pictures and the stamp sets I wanted to use.  As for the pennants on the background of the papers I just stamped them randomly with Stampin Up Smokey Slate Ink.

It was so much fun for me to be your Unity girl.   But before I share the winner of last week I had one more card to share with you.  One day when I was shopping on Unity I found this adorable set on sale and could live without it.  I have already scrapbook the kids baby stuff but it would be great to have and make up some cards when you find out someone is pregnant!

 I'm sad today is Friday cause I have enjoyed sharing each day with you my Unity creations.  Hope you all have enjoyed it as much as I have.  

I'm not ready for fall yet but could resit making this super cute card with the

 Kooky Spooky Batty.

I was very excited to use one on my new circle dies to make an opening in the card and stamp this cute little bat inside!  Then I punched out some spiders from a border punch I got awhile and had never used yet.

Welcome back friends to another day of Growing in Unity!

I have something very exciting to show you today.  I just started Project Life albums for the kids and I used 3 different stamp sets for today project to share with you.  Here are the sets I used first and then I will show you my layout.

 Now for my layout!!

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to take pictures of my layouts but I did some a few up close pictures for you too.  I took the banners from the encircled happy birthday and best kid ever to stamp the background paper with grey ink.  I used the Happy Birthday circle and then picked to of the washi tapes stamps to look like I tape the pictures down on the layout.  I just love how the colors and stamp sets worked out so good for this special day for my Little Man!!  

I also have one more creation for you today.  As soon as I saw this stamp set I had to have it!!  The kids are crazy about pickles so it was a must have for us.

Cards from this week

I had some time this week to make lots of cards.  I post a couple cards earlier today that I made for a friend but wanted to post the rest of them.  She is making cards pack for her FRG's Make it, Bake it, or Fake it Auction.  So I wanted to be sure to help her out.  Here are the rest of the cards I made for it.

Live Each Day

I'm so happy how my cards turned out with the Unity Live Each Day sentiment stamp. 

My friend's FRG is having a Make It, Bake It, or Fake It Auction next week and

 I wanted to help her out. 

The star embossing folder and the MCT Stitched Star Dies were great to go along with this card.

Unity be inspired Challenge

It feels so good to be posting and making things again!  I have decide know matter how tired or how busy we have been I'm going to take time to craft from no on.  I have so missed spending time in my craft room.  Today I made a few cards cause I have a list that I need to make to go along with my end of the year gifts.  

This card is for one of the teacher that is retiring this year.  She is always great to make sure to get me pictures for the yearbook.  I will miss her help next year.

I will be entering this card into the Unity be inspired challenge.

Have a Groovy day

I have been wanting to enter Friends with Flare for weeks but I have been so busy and not really in the crafting mood.  This week I got my house cleaned up and my desk all cleaned off so it's time for some crafting.  I love this stamp set Something Groovy by Unity!  

This will be the perfect card to put in my daughter lunch box one day as a surprise!

My Beautiful Tin!

Hello Everyone!

What a day it has been around my house but some how I just manged to finish up the tin that I was making to enter over at Unity Creative Color Contest.  I hope you love how it turned out as much as I do!  I'm going to store my distress stains in it.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the flowers and then add a layer of Glossy Accents and some stickles afterwards!  I had original made the tag white but decided it need some color so I used my Tim Holtz peeled paint distress stain to give it some color.  Then I made some flowers on my cricut and added some buttons in the center of them.  So glad I decide to use my MCT Stitched Doily die to cut my digi from Unity. 

 Here is a couple close up of the flowers.  I printed the digi out 3 times and color it pop it up.

Growing In Unity Winner

Good Morning!!

First I wanted to thank everyone for all the great comments last week and visiting my blog each day!  I enjoyed being your Unity girl last week.  It was such a fun week! 

My daughter says thank you for all the comments on wishing her better.  She is feeling better and getting around good.  She got a purple and lime green cast!!  Mommy's favorite colors are finally wearing off on her :)  She beg us to take her out this weekend so Saturday she walked around the Farmer's Market and part of Wal-Mart. She is a pro at those crutches already.  

 Before I share the winner of last week's comments I made one more card to share with you all.  I got this little High 5 stamp and thinking it would be prefect for a mini card.  I just had to try it out this morning with my new Chevron embossing folder!

I apologize for a very short and sweet post but my daughter fell yesterday and  broke her leg and she just now feel asleep. It happened around 1 pm and it has been a very long day!   I will have more to say in Friday post!  I'm off to get a little sleep before she wakes up.
