My Braided Crocheted Scarf

I wanted to share with you my braided crocheted scarf that I made over the weekend.  I have been wanted to make an infinity scarf for awhile now.  Last week I was on Facebook and saw a link to make one.  I checked it out and it sounded very easy so Saturday night I started and finished it on Sunday afternoon.  I found the link on the Rookie Crafter's blog.

This was a perfect craft for me to do over the weekend.  I have been really miss my Grandma over the last few weeks and last Saturday was a year she went to the hospital when she was so sick.  My Grandma was the one who taught me how to crochet when I was in JR High.

My daughter is in love with it too. So looks like I will be going to get some more yarn to make her one too.

My New Facebook Page

This is my last post for the night but I had 2 things that I wanted to share with you before I headed off to bed.  The first is that I have created a Facebook Page to for my Blog.  Be sure to head over and like it at https://www.facebook.com/AngelaCraftySpot like my page.

The next item I wanted to share is gift that I made for the kids to give to Grandma and PawPaw on their trip out to visit  us over Thanksgiving.  I wanted to do something to include all of the Grandkids and since we are so far away a group picture was out of the question.  So I got everyone to send me pictures of all the the kids and I sized them to fit into
My Creative Time Just Simply Live Stamp Set Die.
I used the MCT Rosette Die, Flower Petal Die, lower case lowercase fun dies, and Stitched button dies also on the sign.  I was so happy that I finally found a crackle paint to look the way I wanted it too.  I have tried 2 other ones so the 3rd time was a charm :)
I love love this project and so happy that I made it!!

DLART Thankful Thursday

Wishing you a Hearfelt Holiday!

This is one of my favorite Christmas cards that I made last year!  I love this paper pack that I picked up at Michael's to use for this card and my Merry Christmas banner I posted before Christmas.  I wanted to get creative with my card and not just put the gift card inside the card.  So I got to thinking about what I was going to do.  Then it popped into my head to use the MCT Tag Dies and use the Stampin' Up Word Punch to make a slit in the tag for the gift card to slide in and out.  Then I used the MCT Warm Holiday Fun, Mixed Holiday Sentiments Stamp Set and Stitched Square Speech Dies and the cute little Santa jacket from All Around Accessories Stamp Set.

Project Life Layout

One of the projects that I had planned on trying over the summer was to start doing some Project Life layouts for my kids albums.  I bought the pages the week before my daughter broke her leg and well lets after the break this Mommy didn't have much time for herself this summer.  I printed off our pictures to the Pumpkin Patch which is always a fun day.  We love going to Hunter's Farm!!  My little man calls it his farm since his name is Hunter.
I used MCT Piles of Smiles along with 3x4 and 4x6 Stitched Journal Die and Journal It Stamp Set!
It was so much fun creating this layout!!  Now to print off our Pumpkin carving and Halloween pictures to get some more layouts created.  I have to say it was so quick and easy!
