HIMCR #63 - Technique

Hello Friends!

I hope everyone had a great week!  My week was busy and good for the most part.  My laptop crashed on Wed. but I have my new hard drive ordered so it will be here in a few days.

This week at HIMCR it is Technique:  Distressing or Antiquing!  Or both!  I decide to make a wall hanging for my husband to hang up by his desk once we redo our computer/craft room.

I bought a 12x12 piece of wood at Michael's and put 2 coats of Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint Black spot.  I cut out a treasure map and put a coat of TH Distress Stain vintage photo on and fold it up again and again and rubbed some black ink on it.  On the picture I added a coat of TH Distress crackle paint clear rock candy to it and over the red paint I put on the wood behind the treasure map.  One more layer of crackle paint on the title and this time I used picket fence and after it dried I added Distress Stain Peeled paint.  Added 2 pirate coins we had left over from my daughter's birthday party a few months ago.
I think that covers all the steps but if you have any questions just let me know.
Thanks!
Be sure to stop and check out what my DT sister have made also.
Now enter the challenge at HIMCR!!
