HIMCR #67 Super Scraps Saturday

Hello!  I was able to get a little crafting this week even though my craft room is still not set up.  I just have a few more boxes to unpack and then I will finish up the organizing.  Once I'm done with all of that I will be posting some pictures of my new room!!  I'm loving it so far.  My new table/desk is great!!  I have so much room on it.

This week at HIMCR the challenge is Super Scraps Saturday!  I made this cute little Autumn card.  My DT Sister AJ got me this cute little stamp set called Charlie Autumn.  I thought he was so cute!!  All of the paper I used was from my scraps!!  I love super scraps week!!
Here is my cute card!
Stamp set is Charlie Autumn from Clear Dollars Stamps
I used some left over baker twine I had from another project
I colored the image in with my water color pencils.

Now it's time to head over to HIMCR to check out the rest of the Design Team Creations for the week and enter the challenge!

Have a good weekend!!

Birthday Gift

Good Morning!
I wanted to share with you the gift that I made for my friend's birthday yesterday.  She is such a great friend!!  We meet when my daughter and her son went to preschool together.
I can't believe they are now in 4th grade!

So while I was unpacking some of my scrapbooking supplies the other night I had an idea pop in my head.  I found some old CD's  and some cool paper that I forgot about having.    I used my Creative Memories Custom Cutting System to cut circles out of my pattern paper to glue to the CD's.  Then I cut out Family form the Country Life Cartridge and the flowers from CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge to go on the front.  After I had put my cricut things away I decide I need some leaves for the flowers.   So I decide to see what it would look like to use my CM Paisley Punch to make leaves. Then I just cut out some little photo mats and embossed them for the inside and tag. These little albums are so fun to make and you are recycling too!!

Then to go along with the album I found this big clothes pin at Michael's on Monday and didn't really like the print on it.  So I thought well I can cover this to match the album and make it nice.  I used the scraps from the front of the album to cover it.  Then I cut out 2 flowers from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge and some more Paisley for leaves and some ribbon!
I will be posting the card I made to go with her gift on Monday and teaching how I made it for my Guest Design Team project for Crafter's Companion.  I hope that you stop back by to see it!!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest project!

My Friend

I'm so proud of myself 2 cards made today and posted the same day!!  I made this card to give to my friend AJ along with some yummy cake pops.  She going  away for awhile so I wanted her to know how much I will miss her.

I'm going to enter this in MFP Sketch with a Twist challenge.   I used My Creative Time die from Just Simply Live set.  The leaves stamps are from a set that I found today and rubbed new chalking inks from Creative memories over the leaves and the edges of the die and card.  It looks like I embossed them but it was how the paper is made.

Now I'm off to do some more unpacking in my craftroom!

Friends

I decided to take a break from unpacking my craft room today and make some cards.  I found this Friends stamp I got a few months ago and used my Tim Holtz Distress Stain.

I used the peeled paint distress stain right on the card and then stamp over it with Weather Backgrounds from CMTH.  I used my Creative Memories Paper Edger to go around the edge of my paper.  The top one was stamped with the friends stamp and rubbed vintage photo distress stain over it.  The other piece I rubbed both the peeled paint and vintage photo over the craft cardstock.  I used die from My Creative Time and stamp for the Best Friends.   I'm so happy with the way my card turned out.  I'm going to enter it over at MFP Speedy TV.
