HIMCR #73 Mix It Up

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving!  We had the best one ever!!   We were all so excited to have Grandma and PawPaw here to celebrate with us.  We stayed home and Grandma and me cooked dinner.  The kids helped make a pumpkin pie.  It has been a great week but sad for us today here cause we will be taking them back to the airport.  I so wish they lived closer to us.

This week at HIMCR the challenge is Mix It Up and it is Christmas theme.  I decide to go ahead and make my Christmas card for this year.  Last year was the first year in awhile that I didn't make a digital card with our family pictures on them.  I loved the cards I made but decide from now on it would be digital!  Here is the card I created with Storybook Creator 4.0
This is one of my favorite Christmas kits.  It was from last year and it is called Holidazzle!

If you haven't ever tried digital scrapbooking and have any questions let me know.  The Creative Memories program is so easy to use!

Tea Bag Dispenser

I meant to make this last month to go with my friend's birthday gift but I had to wait till my craft room was unpacked more.  At the time of her birthday I wasn't able to get to all of my paper.

I love this tea bad dispenser!!  This was what made me decide to go ahead and order my Silhouette back in April.  I can't wait to drop if off to my friend this week. I love the one that a friend made me before I got my Silhouette.

3D Pumpkin and Acorn

Good Morning!
I'm so excited that I was finally able to make this little pumpkin and acorn.  I have been trying for a few weeks now and it seems like something always comes up when I get ready to make them.  I decided over the weekend that I was going to get them made.  I wanted to have some fall things out for Thanksgiving since Grandma and PawPaw are coming to visit us.  The kids are so excited and are counting down the days!

I got both of the cuts from the Silhouette store.
I even made a second set of them to give to my friend!

MFP Speedy TV Simple Salutations Challenge 18

This has been a very exciting week for me!!  I have been ask to be a Guest Designer for MFP Speedy TV Simple Salutations.  They have lots of  great challenges every week.

The theme for this week is Winter bird and a sentiment on your card.  I decide to use Snow Gifts cause it has such a cute little winter bird with the snowman.
I stamped the image first on my circle that I cut out and used my water colored pencils to color in the snowman.  Then I stamped the cute little bird again and embossed it and added a pop dot to the back to make it pop off the page.  I love the sentsentiment Let's be Friend's.  I couldn't find any paper to go the card I liked.  So I decide to make some to match.  I put a few drops of reinker in a container with my paper and 2 marbles and rolled them around.   I love how it turned out.

I hope you stop by and check out the card that the Host Sunshine HoneyBee made and enter the challenge for a chance to win a great stamp set!

Halloween Decorations for School

This is my second year making the Halloween Decorations for the office at my kid's school.  The office staff comes up with the theme and I do my best to make the decorations match.  This year they decided on Winnie the Pooh.  I used my Cricut cartridge book and my son's teacher document camera to make the characters bigger and traced them on butcher paper.  Everyone loved how the office turned out.  Now I have all of the characters laminated so I can use them again  in the future on the bulletin board I do in front of the office.

This is the bulletin board in front of the office that I did a few weeks ago.  This was from the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons Cartridge.

Halloween Treats for the teachers

I wanted to make a little treat for the kid's teachers, office staff and my co-workers but I was short on time so I found this cute little ghost to cut out on the Silhouette and added some yummy Candy Corn Taffy.  I can't wait to get some more of it next year.

I also work 3 days a week in the afternoon Kindergarten class helping them with their math and writing workshop.  So when I was getting ready to leave on Tuesday a few of them ask if I would be there to see them dressed up on Halloween.  So I decide to make them a little treat when I went in to see all my little friends.  I punched out tags with the Creative Memories Tag punch and stamp it with a cute little pumpkin and tied it to Fruity Peebles snack.

Halloween Cards and treats for Faith and Hunter

I surprised the kids on Halloween and left them little treats on their place mats when they came down for breakfast.  I got the Create a Critter 2 on Tuesday so I had to make a cute little card for them.  It was so fun to do at the last minute!

I found this cute little cute on my Silhouette and added a piece of Candy Corn taffy to it.

Have a great day!

3D Bookplate Box

A couple of month ago I started this purple 3D bookplate box for a me and the other day I got it out and decided this would work perfect for the stack of flash cards I have on my desk.  I let the kids pick out the color for their boxes.  So excited to see what they think in the morning and for us to use them this week when we work on homework.

Flowers made from K cups

I made this for a friend's birthday last week and ran out of time last week to post it.  She loves pink so I found this coffee cup at Old Navy and thought it would be perfect for my project.  I got the idea from a picture one of my friend post on Facebook a few months ago.  It was so easy to make.  I cut out different flowers on the cricut and some rosettes and embossed the flowers. Then used double side tape to attach them to the K cups and used the glue gun to attach the K cup to wooden sticks.

Hope you enjoyed my bouquet of flowers made from K cups!!
